Santa Running on a Treadmill

Father Christmas at full stride on a running machine, in the traditional red suit with white fur trim, a wide black belt and gold buckle, black boots and a floppy red hat with a pommel. A green scarf trails back over one shoulder and his expression is somewhere between determined and thoroughly fed up.

The treadmill is a compact red-framed unit with a dark running belt, twin side rails, a small control panel on the upright and rollers moulded at each end. The whole thing sits on a round cobblestone base.

A comic centrepiece for a Christmas village, a holiday shop window, a seasonal display shelf or a gym vignette in late December. It works as a talking point on a Christmas layout that already has all the usual sleigh-and-reindeer pieces.
