Ice Fisherman Spearing at the Hole

A complete winter fishing vignette on a thick square ice block. A bearded fisherman kneels on one knee over a cut hole, spear raised overhead in the right hand and a small jigging decoy lowered through the water on a line in the left. He wears a heavy blue parka with a fleece collar, quilted trousers and tall pac boots.

The base carries the rest of the kit: a plastic pail, a slotted ice scoop lying on the surface, a coiled rope and a second cleared hole. The open hole is sculpted with broken ice at the rim and clear water below, ready for gloss medium.

It is a self-contained centrepiece for a frozen-lake diorama, a northern winter layout scene, or a display shelf piece. Add a shanty and a sled and you have a full ice-fishing camp.
