Bridge Control Tower with Steel Trestle

An elevated bridge control cabin raised on a tall riveted steel lattice tower. The cabin is clad in red board-and-batten siding under a shallow hipped roof, with a continuous band of multi-pane windows on every wall so the operator can see the full crossing.

Working detail is all there: an external gallery with a pipe handrail and gate at cabin level, a caged access ladder running the full height of the tower, cross-braced legs on splayed footings, machinery sheaves and shafting mounted between the girders, roof-top signal fittings and a stove chimney. It sits on a rectangular concrete base slab.

Purpose-built for a rail or waterway scene: put it beside a movable lift or swing bridge, over a busy interlocking, at a canal lock, or use it as a commanding overwatch structure on a wargame table.
