Corrugated Metal Drainage Culvert Pipe

A short section of large-diameter corrugated steel pipe culvert, with deep helical ribbing around the barrel and two flat banding straps running across the outside. The metal carries a heavy rust-brown patina with brighter scuffed edges along the rims.

Both ends are open and the wall thickness is visible at the mouth, so it can be sunk into an embankment, half-buried in a ditch, or laid out as a stockpiled length beside a work site.

A workhorse infrastructure part for any era from the early twentieth century to today: run it under a rail embankment or grade crossing, use it as a stream crossing on a rural road diorama, or lay it in a construction yard. Open pipes this size also make excellent hard cover on a wargame table.
