A small waterworks pump house built on a heavy concrete substructure with buttressed piers and a raised deck. Two large copper intake pipes sweep down the side in fat elbows, branching through flanged joints into a run of hand-wheel gate valves before dropping into strainer screens at ground level.
On the deck above sits a green corrugated metal machine house with a pale ribbed roof, ringed by a light steel guard rail and an open mesh walkway with drainage covers set into the concrete apron.
Ideal for a riverside or reservoir edge, a canal feed, an industrial estate or a lineside water supply on a layout. On a wargaming board it makes a compact objective with plenty of cover, and it reads convincingly from the early twentieth century through to the present day.
