A small single-room toll booth built as a proper little building rather than a shed. Cream clapboard walls sit inside dark green corner posts and trim, under a wide hipped roof with deep overhanging eaves, exposed knee braces, a full gutter run and a red brick chimney.
The service side carries a wide multi-pane window with a projecting sill shelf for handing tickets and change through, with a smaller side window and a panelled door with glazed upper light. The kiosk sits on its own poured concrete island with raised kerbs.
Useful anywhere a crossing needs staffing: a toll plaza on a mid-century highway, a park or bridge entrance, a factory or rail yard gatehouse, or a weigh station on a layout. Its early-to-mid 1900s styling suits any board set between the 1920s and the 1970s.
