Pad-Mounted Distribution Transformer

A cylindrical utility transformer in dark green, standing on a round steel base plate. Four tall white porcelain bushings rise from the lid, each with stacked insulating skirts, and heavy insulated cables loop from the bushings down the side of the tank.

A bank of rust-orange cooling fins is bolted across the front of the tank, and the side carries the usual service detail: a valve, a pressure gauge, a red indicator, a lifting eye and a small hinged access door with fasteners.

Essential clutter for a substation, a yard corner, an industrial siding, an alley or the back of a factory. It works on any layout from the mid-twentieth century to the present, and gives a modern skirmish board a piece of believable urban scatter.
