A section of coiled concertina wire strung between rusted metal pickets and staked into a grassy earthen strip. Loops of barbed wire run the length of the barrier in a tangled, weathered coil, with tufts of scrub grass sprouting along the base.

This kind of field obstacle defined perimeter defenses from the mid-twentieth century onward, ideal for a Vietnam-era firebase, a trench line, or any fortified boundary.
