Ransacked Corner Office Storefront

A small single-storey brick commercial unit built to sit on a street corner, with a heavy moulded cornice capping a flat parapet roof. Two large timber-framed display windows wrap the corner, each fitted with vertical security bars, and a panelled door stands ajar between them.

The interior is modelled and visible through the glass: a desk, a wooden bureau, a filing cabinet with drawers hanging open, a chair tipped over, and drifts of loose paperwork strewn across every surface and the floor. Outside, the brickwork is cracked and streaked, mortar is failing along the base, and the door and window frames are stained and peeling.

A ready-made story building for a mid-century-to-modern town scene: a shuttered insurance office, a repossessed shop or an abandoned records bureau. On a wargaming board it makes excellent urban cover with an interior worth fighting over.
