Visible features and design choices
- Silhouette and proportions: The sedans proportions present a low roofline, balanced cabin-to-hood ratio, and a gently tapered trunk. These proportions were chosen so the vehicle reads as a contemporary sedan at short-to-medium viewing distances without fine badges or trim.
- Lamp and panel strategy: Headlamp and taillamp areas are modeled as shallow, robust recesses rather than thin separate lenses. Door seams and panel transitions are suggested with blunted geometry to minimize fragile, tiny features at HO scale. This approach preserves the visual read while increasing print survivability.
- Bumpers and body integration: Front and rear bumper volumes are integrated into the body shell to reduce thin appendages that commonly break at small scales. Underbody details are simplified and unified with the lower body to provide a watertight mesh compatible with hobbyist slicers and to simplify mounting or axle insertion.
- Wheel arches and mounting: Wheel arches are relieved and sized to accept glue-in wheel sets or simple axle arrangements; internal clearance is left for varied hobby tolerances. We do not supply multiple pre-scaled STLs; use the included conversion note or your slicer to produce alternate sizes.
Printing guidance (HO master)
This sculpt emphasizes silhouette and robustness over micro-detail. For filament printers, recommended layer heights are 0.10–0.20 mm depending on nozzle and finish preferences. Use light supports at pronounced overhangs such as lower bumper edges and under mirror bosses. Mirror bosses are thickened but may still benefit from minimal support or careful orientation. Allow approximately 0.5–1.0 mm clearance for hub fit depending on your printer tolerance if mounting aftermarket wheels or axles. The unified body shell and simplified lamp recesses make the part forgiving for both filament and resin printing when tolerances are observed.
Finishing and customization
The unbranded shape is intended for hobbyist finishing and kitbashing. Suggested customizations include hand-painting lamp recesses, applying tiny license plate decals, adding styrene trim strips, or replacing simplified mirror stalks with thicker printed or metal posts for durability. For stronger mirrors consider post-print replacement.
