1880s Lumberjack Pulling a Crosscut Saw

A logger crouched low and hauling on a two-man crosscut saw, both hands on the wooden handle, torso twisted and knees bent deep into the pull. The saw blade is sculpted with a full run of raker teeth and a second handle socket at the far end, so he pairs naturally with a partner figure or a felled trunk.

He wears woodsman's kit - a green knitted watch cap, a red and black check wool shirt, cuffed denim trousers and heavy laced boots, with sleeve, waistband and boot-lace detail cut sharply enough to read at small sizes.

Made for a logging camp diorama or timber-country layout: set him against a stump with a sawyer opposite, beside a log landing, or near skid roads and loaded log cars in a nineteenth-century woodland scene.
