An underground miner reaching up with a long steel pry bar held in both hands, barring down loose rock from the roof of a working. The upward reach and braced legs make the effort read clearly.

Kit is 1950s hard-rock mining: a low-crown miner's cap with a lamp mounted on the front, a khaki drill coverall buttoned to the neck with patch pockets, a battery pack hung from the belt, strapped knee pads, and tall brown rubber mining boots.

A working figure for mine and tunnel scenes - place him in a drift or stope, at a portal, or in a shaft-bottom vignette. He also fits quarry and tunnel-construction dioramas of the same era.
