A miner mid-swing with a round-point shovel, both hands low on the shaft, knees bent and shoulders twisted as he throws a load off to one side. The whole body is committed to the motion, which gives the figure real energy in a group.

He wears heavy blue coveralls belted at the waist, strapped leather knee pads, laced work boots and a hard hat with a front-mounted lamp and trailing cable. He stands on a plain dirt base.

Ideal filling an ore car or mucking out a drift in a mid-century mine scene, working a coal chute or tipple on a layout, or as part of a labour gang in an industrial or quarry diorama.
