A mid-century underground miner working a hoist: torso turned, the right hand pushing a control lever forward while the left grips a second lever lower down, eyes fixed on the drum or shaft ahead. The stance is braced with one boot ahead of the other.

His kit is period-correct and clearly modelled: a yellow hard hat with a mounted cap lamp and its cable running back to a battery pack on his belt, a blue button-front coverall jacket over matching trousers, a wide leather belt, strapped knee pads, and tall black rubber boots. He stands on a plain round base.

Built for a 1950s mining scene: the hoist house at the collar of a shaft, a headframe operating floor, or an underground station on a cutaway layout. He also works as a machine operator in an industrial diorama or a quarry works.
