1950s Lumberjack Swinging an Axe

A logger caught mid-swing, both gloved hands wrapped around the haft of a single-bit felling axe as it comes round at waist height. His body is twisted into the stroke with the trailing leg bent and the forward boot planted, giving the figure real momentum.

He wears a green plaid flannel work shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a red plaid cap, a leather belt, dark denim jeans scuffed at the knees and heavy laced logging boots. The clothing is straight out of mid-century North American timber country.
