A mid-century railroad labourer at the top of a spike maul swing, both hands raised high on the wooden haft and his feet planted wide on a small ballast base. He wears a soft blue trainman's cap, a matching denim work jacket and trousers with a broad leather belt, and worn leather boots.
Raised-tool figures are what give a maintenance gang its rhythm, so he works best in a group where other figures kneel, line bars or carry ties around him.
Fits 1940s-1960s American railway layouts, track-laying and relaying dioramas, and yard scenes needing a believable section crew at work.
