1950s Railway Track Gang Gauger

A track-gang labourer in denim bib overalls, a light work shirt and a soft peaked cap, holding a long steel track gauge horizontally in both gloved hands as he checks the rail spacing. Heavy work boots, a worn belt and creased, dirt-marked denim give the figure real yard-hand character.

The head is bowed toward the tool and the stance is square and braced, which reads well beside sleepers and ballast. The figure stands on a plain round base that is easy to blend into a ballast shoulder or trackside verge.

A natural fit for post-war maintenance-of-way vignettes, a busy engine shed or freight yard layout, and any mid-century industrial railway diorama.
