A late-20th-century underground miner sighting through a compact survey instrument held up to his eye. He wears a yellow hard hat with a cap lamp and cable running down to a belt-mounted battery, a self-rescuer pouch on the belt, safety glasses, ear defenders around the neck and a full olive coverall over sturdy work boots.
The upright, feet-together stance and the two-handed grip on the instrument make the surveying action clear at a glance, and the heavy coverall folds take a dusty wash well.
Ideal for a mine portal or drift diorama, a colliery or hard-rock mining layout, or an industrial scene that needs technical staff alongside the labourers.
