A modern underground hard-rock miner standing square to the viewer in blue denim coveralls, a yellow hard hat with a cap lamp, heavy gloves and a full dust respirator across the face. A tool pouch and a coiled line hang from his belt.

He grips a short grouting lance in both hands with the supply hose running down past his hip, the pose used when pumping grout around freshly set rock bolts in a tunnel back.

Built for late-twentieth-century mining and tunnelling scenes. He works alongside drill rigs, bolting platforms and shotcrete gear on an underground diorama, or as a maintenance crew figure on a modern industrial layout.
