Underground Miner Inspecting Ore Samples

A miner stands head down, turning a handful of broken ore fragments over in a small tray or pan held against his belt buckle. The pose is still and studied, so he reads as assessing a sample rather than swinging a tool.

The kit is modern underground mining safety gear from roughly the 1990s onward.

Place him at an adit mouth, a shaft head, an ore chute or an assay shed on a mining layout. He works well beside skip cars and rail tubs, in a hard-rock mine diorama, or as a civilian specialist figure on a modern industrial board.
