A tall baroque display cabinet finished in deep oxblood red with gilded mouldings. The upper case carries a scrolled broken-arch pediment topped by a carved gilt cartouche, and a pair of arched glazed doors with slim ring pulls that show off whatever is shelved behind them.

Below the glazed case, a moulded waist band and a gilt shell carving lead down to four slender cabriole legs ending in scrolled toes, giving the piece a light, formal silhouette rather than a heavy chest.

It suits a grand parlour, a drawing room, or a curio corner in a period dollhouse, and works equally well as furnishing for a manor-house or apothecary interior on a tabletop board.
