A Vietnam-era airborne trooper caught mid-fall at the instant he pulls the ripcord. He wears a one-piece olive flight suit, a hard jump helmet with a raised visor, an oxygen mask over the lower face, and a bulky reserve and main parachute pack strapped across the chest and back. A US flag patch sits on the right shoulder and a red handle trails from his gloved right hand.

The pose is a full body arch: legs trailing, torso forward, arms drawn in toward the chest harness. Webbing straps, quick-release buckles, pouches and a leg-mounted equipment bag are all sculpted as separate raised details, so a brush and a wash bring the harness out immediately.

Mounted on a small round base with a support post under one boot, the piece works as a dramatic centrepiece for a Vietnam airborne drop diorama, an airfield or drop-zone display, or a modern skirmish game board that needs an airborne insertion marker.
