An airborne trooper caught in freefall a moment after exiting the aircraft, body arched with the legs trailing and one hand snatching down on the red ripcord handle at the chest.
He wears a brown jump smock over olive trousers with reinforced knee and thigh pockets, tall laced jump boots, webbing straps crossing the torso, a bulky main pack on the back and a reserve chute on the chest. The helmet carries goggles pushed up on the shell.
