Playground Spring Rocker Horse

A classic playground spring rider shaped as a stylised horse: a bright red moulded body with a raised head, sculpted mane and tail, a yellow saddle pad, a bridle with browband and reins picked out in yellow, and short cylindrical grab handles at the shoulders and hips.

The body is mounted on a tall coil spring which bolts to a round anchor plate at ground level, so the piece can be sunk into a sand, rubber-mat or grass surface. The heavy simplified legs and thick spring coils are exactly what makes the real thing survive years of use, and they print robustly for the same reason.

Built for a park or schoolyard scene: a tot lot beside swings and a slide, an apartment-block playground, a fast-food play area or a small-town park on a layout. A pair of them in different colours instantly reads as municipal playground equipment.
