A Victorian city constable in a high-collared dark blue tunic and the tall crested custodian helmet of the period, opening a pair of iron handcuffs in both hands. A leather cross-belt runs over the shoulder to a belt carrying a pouch and a wooden truncheon slung at the hip.
Buttoned tunic front, piped cuffs, a heavy moustache and creased trousers over polished boots all read clearly. The wide stance and lowered hands make him look like he is closing on someone, so he pairs directly with any struggling or fleeing figure.
Use him on a gaslit Victorian street corner, outside a station or public house on a period layout, or in an arrest vignette with a suspect and onlookers. He also suits Gothic or detective-fiction display scenes.
