A heavy-set police constable in a late-Victorian dark blue tunic sits slumped on a plain wooden side chair, chin dropped towards his chest. He wears the tall custodian helmet with a badge plate, a leather duty belt with a truncheon hanging behind the chair back, and polished ankle boots.
