1880s Mounted Police Sergeant Standing

A Victorian mounted police sergeant stands at rest with a pair of leather reins gathered in both hands across his front. He wears a dark blue tunic with two columns of brass buttons, gold collar and cuff braid, and a silver chain looped to the breast.

Tall black riding boots come above the knee, and the domed helmet carries a gold front plate and chinstrap. He is cast on a cobblestone disc so he can be shown dismounted beside his horse.
