1880s City Police Constable Directing Traffic

A late-Victorian city constable in a dark blue tunic and matching custodian helmet with a brass badge, one arm raised flat to halt traffic while the other hangs relaxed at his side. Gold piping runs along the cuffs and standing collar and a double row of buttons closes the tunic front.

Leather kit is clearly modelled: a shoulder strap crossing the chest, a belt with a squared buckle, a pouch on the hip, a holstered sidearm and a baton hanging behind the right hip. Tall brown riding boots reach the knee, and the figure stands on a round cobblestone base that blends into a paved street.
