A Victorian city constable in a dark blue double-breasted tunic with red collar and cuffs, brass buttons, a tall crested custodian helmet and a leather duty belt. One arm is raised palm-out to stop traffic while the other holds a truncheon on its chain; the figure comes on a cobblestone base.

The uniform places him firmly in the 1870s to 1890s municipal police of Britain or the American east coast. He is ideal for a gaslit street corner, a crossing beside a horse tram, or a crowd-control vignette outside a theatre or station.

Combine him with hansom cabs, street vendors and period pedestrians to animate a Victorian town layout, or use him alone as a focal figure on a small display base.
