An early twentieth century city policeman caught leaning back at ease, one boot lifted as if propped on a kerb, hydrant or step, hands resting easily at his sides. He wears a high-collared uniform tunic with breast pockets, a cross-strap belt over the shoulder, breeches and tall laced boots, topped by a stiff peaked cap.
The leaning pose needs something to rest against, which makes him ideal beside a lamp post, a shop doorway or a parked touring car on a 1920s street scene.
Suits prohibition-era town dioramas, period station platforms and interwar skirmish boards.
