1950s Traffic Officer Signalling Halt

A mid-century city policeman standing at attention with one hand raised flat and palm out to stop oncoming traffic. He wears a light khaki tunic with a shirt and tie beneath, a shield badge on the left breast, matching breeches, and tall black leather boots to the knee.

The kit is period-correct throughout: a peaked service cap, a leather Sam Browne belt with a cross strap over the right shoulder, and a flap holster and cartridge pouch on the waist belt.

Put him at a downtown intersection, outside a bank or theatre, at a parade barrier or beside a stalled car on a 1940s-to-1960s American street scene. He is a natural companion piece to period sedans and a traffic signal.
