1950s Motorcycle Officer Signalling Halt

A mid-century traffic patrolman sitting astride his police motorcycle with one hand raised flat to stop oncoming traffic and the other still on the bar. He wears a peaked service cap, a buttoned tunic with a tie and a shield badge, breeches and tall boots, with a holster on the belt.

The machine beneath him is a period solo bike with a large round headlamp, sprung telescopic forks, a sprung saddle and a low straight handlebar, both feet down on the pegs and the boot resting to one side.

Made for a 1940s-to-1960s American street scene: a downtown intersection, a parade route, a speed trap on a highway shoulder, or an escort at the head of a motorcade. Rider and machine come as one piece.
