A county deputy walks his patrol in a tan mid-century uniform: a broad-brimmed campaign hat, a short-sleeved shirt with a name bar, badge and shoulder patch, pressed trousers and brown work shoes.

His leather duty belt is loaded with a holstered revolver, cartridge loops, a cuff case and pouches, and he carries a wooden baton tucked under one arm. The relaxed forward stride suits a routine walk rather than an incident.

Perfect for a 1950s small-town street, a rural highway stop, a county courthouse or a farm-country railroad layout. He also works well posed beside a period patrol car or leaning on a fence at a roadside checkpoint.
