A mid-century county lawman standing on a dirt shoulder, right arm extended and index finger pointing off to the side as if waving traffic past or ordering someone out of the way.

He is dressed in a light blue shirt-and-trousers uniform with white piping down the leg, a star badge over the pocket, a broad-brimmed campaign hat with a star on the crown, and a duty belt carrying a flap holster, cuff case and cartridge loops.

The look is pure 1950s small-town America, so he fits a roadside accident scene, a grade-crossing incident, a farm-town Main Street, or a highway diner vignette on a period layout.
