Country Deputy with Pistol Drawn

A rural deputy walking forward with his sidearm held down at low ready in one hand, the other arm loose at his side and a cigarette clamped in the corner of his mouth. His head is turned to scan off to the flank — a man moving up on something he has not seen yet.

He wears a broad-brimmed campaign hat with goggles pushed up on the crown, a uniform shirt with the sleeves rolled back, and a green tactical vest with a star badge on the chest and rows of magazine and utility pouches. Below that are worn cargo jeans and heavy brown boots, and he stands on a cracked concrete base with a star motif set into it.

He is built for modern and near-future rural settings: a highway checkpoint, an abandoned town, a farmstead search, or a roadblock at the edge of a quarantine line. He makes a strong warband leader on a post-apocalyptic or survival skirmish board and adds tension to a contemporary diorama.
