This Low-Poly Police Patrol Sedan is a purpose-designed, generic law-enforcement cruiser delivered as a single locked master STL scaled to HO (1:87). The geometry emphasizes a clear, readable small-scale silhouette: a contemporary four-door sedan profile with modest greenhouse, short overhangs, recessed wheel arches and integrated bumpers. A low rectangular roof lightbar is modeled as a single, robust block to remain visible at hobby scales while avoiding fragile thin elements.
Visible distinguishing features
- Low block-style roof lightbar sized for visibility at HO (1:87) without fragile fins or thin supports.
- Integrated front push bumper massed into the body geometry for strength when printed in resin or filament workflows.
- Recessed wheel wells and intentionally omitted separate wheel geometry so hobbyists can fit aftermarket wheels, use axle solutions, or leave wheels blank depending on their workflow.
- Simplified panel separations and shallow engraved seams so surface lines read when painted at HO without producing delicate ridges.
- Low-polygon faceting retained intentionally to preserve strong planes at small scales and to reduce fragile micro-detail.
- No manufacturer badges, insignia, license plates, or readable text — the vehicle is intentionally generic and license-free for hobby use.
What you receive
One locked master STL file precisely scaled to 1:87 (HO). Miniature Reality supplies exactly one HO master STL. If you need a different final scale, uniformly scale the provided HO master in your modeling tool or slicer. No additional pre-scaled files, separate wheel sets, decals, or vehicle internals are included.
Printing notes
- Resin printing: orient the body slightly nose-up to reduce support contact under the roof lightbar and bumper overhangs. Use minimal supports under the chassis; avoid heavy supports directly under the roof block to reduce cleanup. Small layer heights (0.04–0.08 mm) will reduce visible faceting if you prefer smoother planes; the mesh's low-poly look is intentional and reads well at hobby scales.
- FDM/filament printing: a light brim or raft is recommended to stabilize the wheelbase. Targeted supports under bumper overhangs and the lightbar are sufficient. Because wheel geometry is omitted, plan clearance for your chosen axle and wheel solution.
- Wheels and axles: wheel geometry is omitted to keep the body adaptable. Before printing a fleet or production run, test-fit your preferred hobby wheels or axle solution at scale; small clearance adjustments may be necessary when upscaling.
Use and pairing
This vehicle is optimized for HO model-railroad layouts, modern urban street dioramas, and contemporary tabletop gaming scenes where a generic law-enforcement presence is needed. It pairs well with storefront facades, sidewalks, parking lots, street furniture, fences, and curbside vignette details. The simplified geometry makes it ideal for quick scenic additions, painting practice, kitbashing, or as a neutral cruiser prop for modern-era scenarios.
Limitations and provenance
This item originates from a legacy MeshRef auto-stubbed Stage 1 export. Identity confidence is intentionally low and the model is generic; no real-world make, model year, badges, or license plates are claimed. Prototype dimension estimates provided in listing metadata are contextual only — the delivered STL is authoritative at HO scale.
License
Purchasing grants the buyer personal-use rights to print and finish the provided HO 1:87 master STL for hobby, display, model-railroad, diorama, and tabletop gaming uses. Redistribution of the raw STL or commercial use beyond personal printing requires explicit permission.
Recommended scaling notes
You receive a locked 1:87 master. To change scale, apply a uniform linear scale in your slicer or 3D application. Example: to approximate 1:64, scale linear dimensions by ~1.36. Because wheel geometry is not included, ensure wheelwell clearances are maintained when upscaling.
