Decorated Vintage Parade Fire Engine

An early open-cab motor pumper dressed for a parade. The deep red bodywork carries a gold star on the side panel, a holiday wreath wired to the radiator shell, blue fabric swags draped along the cowl and above the running board, and a swag of silver chain slung between the fenders.

Behind the cab it is fully equipped: a brass-cased hose reel, banks of gold-finished suction pipes and valves, a running-board tool tray, and wooden extension ladders racked overhead on a tubular frame, all riding on artillery-style wheels with gold hubs.

It suits a 1920s or 1930s town parade, a firehouse open-day scene, or a Fourth of July or holiday procession on a period layout, and works equally well as a static display piece outside an engine house.
