A stepped sandstone outcrop rising in blocky ledges from a shallow pool. The rock face is cut into horizontal shelves and vertical fracture lines with a deep cleft running down the front, and thin trickles of water spill from the upper shelves into the water below.
Ledges and crevices carry clumped scrub and low brush, and the lower skirt of the formation sits in a rippled water surface with pale foam and a pebbled shoreline around the edge. The whole piece is a single self-contained terrain feature with a finished footprint, so it drops onto a board without needing blending scenery.
Useful as a canyon-country centrepiece for a desert diorama, a scenic backdrop for a branch line squeezing past a bluff, or an objective feature on a wargame table where a climbable rock and a water obstacle both matter. It also works as a garden or park rockery feature at larger sizes.
