Rusted Iron Steel Padlock with Inserted Skeleton Key

A medium-size antique iron padlock with a U-shaped shackle and a scalloped rectangular faceplate secured by visible rivets. The padlock body shows heavy surface oxidation (rust) with flaking and light blue-gray corrosion spots, worn rounded edges and patterned cut at the top of the body. A barrel-style skeleton key is inserted in the keyhole and projects outward and slightly downwards. The shackle is thick and fully visible.
