Downhill Skier Carving a Turn

An alpine skier leaned hard into a carved turn, knees angled across the fall line, poles swept out behind and shoulders squared downhill. Snow is thrown up in a curling spray from the edges of the skis, sculpted into the base.

He wears a blue technical ski jacket with taped seams, red insulated salopettes, black gloves and a white helmet with yellow-lensed goggles. The skis, bindings and boots are all modelled separately on a shaped snow plinth.

Made for winter sports scenes: an alpine resort or piste diorama, a mountain railway layout with a ski station, or a seasonal display alongside chairlifts, snow fencing and lodge buildings.
