A bearded adventurer kitted out for a long trek into unmapped country. He wears a pith helmet fitted with a bracket of coloured optical lenses swung up over the brim, a green field jacket over a waistcoat, leather gloves, canvas trousers and tall riding boots.
Slung on his back is a brass and copper apparatus of pressure tanks, valves and gauges with hoses running forward over his shoulder, while a coil of rope, a pouch and belt kit hang at his hip. He is stopped mid-stride, checking a large brass compass held in both hands.
A characterful lead figure for a Victorian scientific romance scene, a lost world or steam-powered expedition on a fantasy tabletop, or a museum and explorers' club vignette on a period diorama.
