Overview

This listing is for a stylized Caravan-family minivan configured as a taxi and tuned for small-scale scenic use. The sculpt intentionally favors broad planar faces and simplified fittings so the vehicle reads cleanly at HO 1:87 (Miniature Reality master scale) and prints reliably on hobby systems. Brand-identifying micro-detail has been removed — the shape is Caravan-family inspired rather than a forensic factory replica.

Visible features

- Silhouette and proportions: long gently rounded roofline, compact rear quarter and short overhangs consistent with late-model minivan proportions. The overall form is simplified into planar surfaces to maintain legibility at small scales.

- Taxi cues: a low-profile roof medallion (taxi sign) is modeled as a shallow solid element. Side panels include subtle planar regions intended for livery blocking so a painted taxi scheme will read strongly at distance.

- Windows: glazing is represented as shallow recessed planes rather than through-holes to increase print success and provide options for hobby glazing, painting or decal work.

- Wheels and undercarriage: wheels are integrated as low-detail solid geometry rather than separate rotating parts; wheel wells are recessed and dimensioned for robust HO-scale printing.

- Simplified fittings: headlights, grille planes and bumpers are expressed as recessed or planar cues to remain visible without fragile filigree. Roof rails and door seams are present as stylized, slightly raised or recessed features to help reading and painting.

- Flat-shaded aesthetic: faces are intentionally planar and slightly angular to reduce micro-detail that often fails at small scale and to make rapid color blocking and weathering straightforward.

What you receive

One single-piece STL file prepared and scaled to HO 1:87 (Miniature Reality master). The file contains the complete vehicle with integrated wheels and taxi roof medallion. No additional scaled STLs are provided — Miniature Reality distributes one 1:87 master that customers can uniformly scale in their slicer or CAD software if a different nominal scale is required.

Scaling note (important)

- Master scale: HO 1:87. Only a single 1:87 master file is included. To print at other scales, uniformly scale the provided file in your slicer or CAD package. The geometry is optimized for HO; if you scale significantly smaller than 1:87 inspect recessed windows and roof medallion thickness and consider thickening them in mesh-editing software.

Print guidance

- Orientation: printing the model resting on its wheels is the easiest orientation for general printing and support removal. For the smoothest roof finish consider printing roof-down with minimal supports under the undercarriage.

- Supports: small supports under front and rear bumper overhangs and under the roof medallion may be required depending on your printer and material choice. The medallion is shallow and designed to survive typical small-scale printing angles.

- Thin features: recessed windows and the roof sign are modeled for robustness at HO 1:87. If you plan to scale below HO, inspect and thicken those regions to preserve detail.

Intended uses

- Model railroading: the simplified taxi medallion and planar livery zones make this minivan read immediately as a taxi on HO-scale streets, station forecourts and taxi ranks.

- Dioramas and display: flat-shaded surfaces accept rapid color blocking, masking and weathering techniques for quick scenic work.

- Tabletop gaming and props: robust, low-detail geometry makes the part durable for gaming and handling.

Limitations and provenance

- Stylized design: this is a simplified, flat-shaded aesthetic from a legacy project rather than a year-by-year factory-accurate replica. Fine brand insignia and micro-detail have been removed. The item follows a Caravan-family silhouette and has been described as such, but the listing is intentionally non-forensic about exact maker-year provenance.

- Dimensions: the file is prepared for HO 1:87 and the included single-piece master should be scaled for other nominal scales by the user.

License and support

You are purchasing a single master file at HO 1:87. The file may be scaled for permitted printing use but may not be repackaged and resold as a competing digital asset. For custom edits (separate wheels, alternate roof sign, or forensic detailing) contact Miniature Reality for a custom modeling request.
