Overview

This download is a single-piece, unbranded stylized sports supercar exterior shell delivered as the Miniature Reality master at 1:87 (HO) scale. The sculpt reads as a contemporary performance coupe without copying any specific production vehicle: pronounced long hood and tapered front silhouette, compact low cabin with a low roofline and steeply raked windshield, flowing fastback rear, and broad rounded wheel arches sized for common HO aftermarket wheelsets. The rear incorporates a shallow integrated diffuser and a compact lip spoiler as continuous geometry to minimize fragile appendages.

What you receive

- 1 x STL file: single-piece exterior body shell scaled to 1:87 (HO) as the master deliverable. Miniature Reality supplies one HO master STL. Resize uniformly in your slicer or CAD tool to print at other scales; verify wheel well clearances and axle/hub geometry after scaling.

Visible features and sculpt notes

- Silhouette-first design: the sculpt emphasizes a readable silhouette at viewing distances typical for HO dioramas and layouts — long hood, compact cabin and fastback profile make the object immediately register as a modern sports coupe.

- Wheel openings: pronounced rounded wheel arches with internal cavity geometry sized to accept common aftermarket HO wheel sets; there is no wheel, axle, hub, or chassis geometry included. Expect to fit an aftermarket axle or to design a custom chassis when finishing.

- Front and rear geometry: smooth tapered front with simplified grille area and a shallow rear diffuser integrated into the body to reduce the number of thin, brittle details.

- Surface detail: panel lines and vents are intentionally shallow and generic to preserve kitbashing flexibility and avoid trademarked shapes. Small panel seams are low-relief so they remain visible at HO while limiting support scarring during printing.

Printing and finishing guidance

- Orientation: for resin printers, orient slightly nose-up to reduce supports across the roof and to preserve inner wheel arch detail. For FDM, consider splitting the shell from a bespoke chassis/floor to allow axle installation and reduce bridging and internal supports.

- Supports: expect supports under the front lip, diffuser area and inner wheel arch lips. Remove supports carefully around wheel openings to preserve rim geometry and test-fit aftermarket wheels before final finishing.

- Layer height and technique: resin printing at 0.05–0.12 mm layer heights will preserve the smooth curved panels and shallow panel lines. FDM will display visible layer steps on broad curved surfaces and may need sanding, filler and primer for a smooth finish.

- Postprocessing: light priming and careful sanding of support scars followed by washes and subtle highlights will revive the shallow panel separation and emphasize the silhouette.

Scale and conversion guidance

- Provided master: 1:87 (HO). Miniature Reality ships one HO master STL only. To print at other scales, uniformly scale the mesh in your slicer or CAD tool and then verify critical clearances such as wheel wells and axle spacing. Example multipliers for rough guidance: to about 1:43 multiply by ~2.03, to 1:48 multiply by ~1.81, to 1:160 multiply by ~0.54. After scaling, confirm wheel and axle fit and allow for material-specific shrinkage and your printer's minimum wall thickness.

Intended uses

- Model railroading: the 1:87 master is sized to sit naturally in modern urban, suburban and roadside scenes and functions as a neutral contemporary performance car that avoids trademark conflicts.

- Dioramas and photography: the stylized silhouette works well as a street vignette, showroom display prop, or photographic subject in small-scale scenes.

- Kitbashing and conversions: the neutral shell is a flexible donor for wheel swaps, chassis mating or bespoke interior/chassis builds.

Limitations and notes

- Exterior shell only: this download contains the body shell only. Wheels, chassis, hubs, interior and axle hardware are not included.

- Legacy source: source metadata indicates this asset originated from a legacy MeshRef stub; identity provenance is intentionally generic and confidence in a specific real-world make/model is low. The sculpt is stylized rather than an exact prototype match; buyers seeking an exact licensed reproduction should request a bespoke rework.
