This listing provides one unbranded 1:87 (HO) master STL of a low-polygon taxi sedan intended as a static display prop for model railroad layouts, urban dioramas and small-scale display scenes. The silhouette reads as a contemporary compact four-door city sedan used in taxi service: short front and rear overhangs, a low-pitched roof and a flattened pad on the roof sized for aftermarket or hand-applied taxi signs.

Distinctive visible features

- Roof pad: a rectangular, slightly raised rooftop sign area with no embedded text or numbers; sized so you can attach aftermarket signs, glue paper decals, or hand-paint route identifiers. The pad is raised slightly from the roof plane to improve durability and simplify finishing.

- Body and silhouette: simplified low-polygon planes form clear door breaks, a tapered hood and compact trunk. Panel seams are represented as shallow breaks rather than fine engraved lines to retain readable detail at HO scale and to survive light sanding and handling.

- Wheel wells and undercarriage: recessed wheel arches sized for static display; the mesh is a single rigid part and does not include axle holes, separate wheel components, or a rolling chassis. Bumpers and lower body edges are slightly exaggerated to reduce fragility on small prints and to hold paint during handling.

- Street-ready details: simplified headlight and taillight blocks, basic mirror housings, and modest door-handles are present as low-relief geometry to give the silhouette readable interest without fragile thin fins.

Printability notes

The mesh is prepared to maximize success on both resin and filament hobby printers. For resin printing, orient the car at a modest 20–30 degree angle to minimize visible layer stepping on broad roof and hood planes; minimal supports are recommended under bumpers and the lower rear valance. For filament printing, orient the car roof-up or on a slight angle and use light supports under the front and rear bumpers and near the wheel wells. Since the model is intentionally low-poly, seams and facets respond well to primer, light sanding and a thin filler coat if you prefer a smoother finish.

Contents

One untextured single-part master STL prepared at 1:87 (HO). The file is optimized as a static display prop; it does not include rolling-axle bores or separate wheel components. Roof sign geometry is flattened and intentionally blank so you can add aftermarket signs or decals.

Scale and conversion guidance

Miniature Reality ships ONE 1:87 (HO) master STL. To print at another scale, uniformly scale the STL by the ratio between 87 and your target scale denominator (for example, to print at 1:48 set linear scale to 87/48 = 1.8125 or 181.25%). After scaling, verify axle clearances, minimum wall thickness and wheel‑well fit. Very small or very large target scales may require manual thickening of thin features in CAD or the use of print‑time size modifiers.

Suggested uses and finishing tips

This taxi sedan is ideal as a parked curbside vehicle, taxi rank member, or background traffic prop in contemporary HO street scenes. The low‑poly surfaces take washes and dry‑brushing well; apply a thin primer coat before sanding to reduce visible facets if you prefer a smoother finish. For fleet effects, print multiple copies and vary roof sign inserts or applied decals. To create a rolling vehicle, modify hubs in CAD or cut axle slots after printing to accept third‑party wheels.

Licensing and provenance

The mesh originates from a legacy project and is deliberately unbranded. No manufacturer logos or proprietary markings are present. Automated provenance is limited for this legacy asset; identity confidence is low because no maker information is embedded in the source metadata. Contact Miniature Reality support if you need assistance adapting the mesh for rolling axles or other modifications.
