This listing presents a grouped sculpt of a late-Victorian seated woman holding an infant on her lap, authored as a single HO 1:87 master asset. The composition is designed for readable silhouette at short viewing distances while retaining period costume details: a defined bodice and waist seam, short puffed daytime sleeves, and an elongated skirt silhouette that drops toward mid-ankle. A small bonnet or sunhat is modeled at the adult’s side tied with visible ribbon ends; the infant holds a tiny cup prop in both hands. The seated pose gives the group a compact, stable footprint suitable for placement on station benches, park vignettes, and domestic street scenes.

What you receive

- One master file scaled for HO 1:87 (Miniature Reality supplies a single authoritative HO master STL). The grouped pair is authored as an assembled mesh preserving the spatial relationship between adult and infant for direct placement on layouts or bases. The mesh can be separated in your preferred modeling software if individual pieces are required.

Visible detail and sculpt choices

- Silhouette-first design: the sculpt emphasizes readable shapes at hobby viewing distances — skirt volume, a clear bodice and waist seam, puffed sleeve outlines and bonnet brim profile are modeled to read without ultra-fine engraving that commonly fails on small-format prints.

- Accessories: the bonnet modeled at the adult’s side and the small cup prop held by the infant are distinct sculpted elements within the grouped composition. Thin features such as bonnet ribbons and fingertips have been modestly thickened to improve printability at HO scale while retaining period character.

- Pose and footprint: the seated composition produces a low center of gravity and a broad contact area (skirt and seated base) to aid first-layer adhesion and stable display.

Intended uses

- HO / 1:87 model railroad layouts as a period family vignette on platforms, park benches, promenades and domestic street scenes.

- Small dioramas illustrating everyday Victorian life, family tableau pieces and background storytelling elements.

- Painting practice focused on late-Victorian clothing silhouettes and small accessory detail work.

Print guidance and handling notes

- The master is authored at HO 1:87. For resin printing choose fine layer heights and conservative supports under overhangs such as the bonnet brim and beneath the infant’s limbs; for fused filament approaches orient the pair so the adult’s skirt and seated base provide broad bed contact. Delicate extremities (fingertips, ribbon ends) have been thickened but may still require careful support placement. The grouped pair prints most reliably when oriented to maximize skirt contact with the build surface.

Provenance and scope

- Source: legacy MeshRef project stage data. The sculpt is intentionally generic and unbranded and described conservatively from visible costume and pose. The upstream metadata does not include a credited sculptor or maker; contact support if you require a separated single-figure export or maker provenance.
