Overview

This listing provides a single HO (1:87) master STL of an unbranded vintage delivery box truck — a compact cab joined to a rectangular enclosed cargo envelope that echoes mid-20th century small commercial box vans. The geometry favors a clear period silhouette and paint-ready flat side panels while avoiding excessively fine relief that would not survive reliably at HO scale. The asset is intentionally generic and unbranded to give hobbyists a blank canvas for signage, weathering, or kitbash customization.

What you receive

- One HO (1:87) master STL file (single-part mesh) sized and tuned as the reference download. We supply this single 1:87 master STL only; see the scale conversion note below for guidance when printing at other hobby scales.

Design and visible features

- Distinct cab and cargo envelope: a short, slightly rounded driver cab with upright windshield planes, modest fender forms, and simplified headlamp housings feeding into a rectangular cargo body.

- Cargo box: broad, flat side panels with modest chamfers and an intentionally simplified recessed rear area. The plain side panels are left for decal placement, painted signage, or the addition of separately printed doors and detailing.

- Running gear: simplified undercarriage and wheel wells sized to accept typical HO wheelsets after minor trimming or adaptation; the axle datum is placed to aid common kitbashing methods.

- Durable small detail choices: tiny fixtures like door handles are minimized to survive printing at HO; modelers are encouraged to add fine details in plastic or wire after printing.

Printability notes

The master is tuned for reliable miniature printing at HO scale. Typical recommendations:

- Resin (SLA/DLP): 0.025–0.05 mm layer height for crisp panel edges. Orient the cargo box face-down or at a slight angle to reduce side-panel supports.

- FDM: 0.10–0.20 mm layer height; print with supports under chassis areas and modest supports for cab overhangs. Printing the body on its side reduces supports on the long panels and yields cleaner surfaces.

- Small details have been simplified so the part survives at HO scale; if you need improved small-scale fixtures add them after printing or substitute with aftermarket parts.

Customization and kitbashing

The simplified side panels are designed as a working canvas: apply decals, paint signage, scribe panel seams, or fit separately printed doors and ramps. The box area can be cut and fitted with custom accessories; the cab profile is appropriate for swapping with other small-cab assets or for use as a tow cab when kitbashing.

Scale conversion

This download is a single HO (1:87) master STL. To print at another scale, rescale the mesh in your slicer or 3D software by the ratio between the desired scale denominator and 87 (for example: 1:76 = 76/87 ≈ 0.874). Very small scales (N 1:160 and smaller) will reduce visible detail and may require thickening of thin features; larger scales will expose simplifications that some modelers refine locally.

Intended uses

Ideal for HO model railroad street scenes, loading docks, small warehouse and storefront dioramas, tabletop game city blocks, and kitbash projects requiring a neutral box truck that sits well in dense layouts. Its compact footprint is suited to busy layouts and curbside placement.

Limitations and provenance

- The asset is intentionally generic and unbranded; real-world logos and legible text have been removed.

- Source metadata originates from a legacy Stage1 asset; prototype-specific measurements and brand matching are not included. If you need exact prototype scaling, branded liveries, or bespoke multi-scale files, contact us for a custom job.
