Weathered 1930s Four-Door Sedan

A mid-1930s American four-door sedan in faded turquoise, sitting low on a small oval of packed dirt and tufted grass. The upright grille shell, freestanding headlamps on a tie bar, chrome bumper and long louvred bonnet all place it in the early streamline years.

The paint is chalked and blistered with rust blooms breaking through around the wheel arches, running boards and door bottoms, and the hubcaps and window frames have gone dull, so it reads as a car that has been parked out in the weather for years.

It is a natural filler for a farmyard fence line, a back-lot junk row, a garage forecourt awaiting restoration, or a Depression-era street scene, and the integral ground base means it can be dropped straight onto a layout.
