An elderly Sikh gentleman stands barefoot with knees bent and both arms swept out to the sides, caught mid-movement in a celebratory dance step. The long white beard, moustache and lined smiling face give him warmth and immediate character.
He is dressed in traditional everyday clothing: a saffron-orange turban wrapped in neat folds, a long blue kurta with a buttoned placket and side vents falling past the hips, and loose gathered yellow trousers pushed up at the ankle. The fabric folds are sculpted with real drape, so the shirt swings away from the body with the motion.
He suits a market street, a temple courtyard, a wedding procession or a community festival scene, and adds welcome cultural variety to any modern crowd on a layout or diorama. Grouped with musicians and onlookers he anchors a celebration vignette.
