A standing World War II airman modeled as a US Army Air Forces pilot. He wears a leather A-2 style flight jacket over a life-preserver vest, with a peaked service cap, tucked field trousers, and laced boots. A ribbed oxygen hose runs from his harness, and he carries a soft flight helmet in one lowered hand.
The figure has a relaxed at-ease stance, well suited to a flight-line or ready-room scene. Uniform folds, harness straps, jacket collar, and belt are all clearly sculpted.
This makes an excellent crew figure for a 1940s airfield diorama, a bomber or fighter hardstand vignette, or a home-front and wartime layout. He stands alongside parked aircraft, ground crew, and briefing scenes and works well for both display dioramas and wargaming aircraft bases.
